What is a Giclée?

You'll see in my shop that I refer to my "prints" or "reproductions" as "giclée's" on paper or canvas. When I use the term "giclée" I mean that they are high-quality, fine-art digital prints made on inkjet printers. They are made from a high-resolution scan or photo of my original work of art. They are printed on fine art (archival) paper or canvas.

Giclée's on Paper:

example images below

  • Printed on archival enhanced matte paper.

  • Each paper print is ready to frame with a one inch white border where I sign and number each piece (each one is complete with the title, edition number and my signature)

  • Paper prints 11"x11" and 9"x12" come shipped flat. All larger sizes come rolled in a tube.

  • "Limited Edtion": Editions limited to 50-500. Most are limited to 100 or 250.

  • Shipping: Paper prints 15"x20"and smaller are shipped within 1-3 business days. Larger paper prints can take 7-10 business days to ship if they are out of stock, but many times ship faster.

Giclée's on Canvas:

example images below

  • Canvases are stretched (or gallery wrapped) over 1.5 inch deep wood bars. This creates a thick edge and makes them look more like an original piece.

  • Ready to hang. Each piece is complete with hanging wire. There is no need for a frame because of the thick edges.

  • Shipping costs vary a great deal for canvases depending on their size.

  • In-Stock canvases ship within 2-3 business days. Out of stock items can take up to 10 business days
    before shipping.
