For over a decade, I have been depicting scenes with people walking in the rain holding colorful umbrellas. The pop of color in the umbrellas in contrast with the mostly monochromatic backgrounds represent hope in my work. It's a collection that is at the root of why I create. And while I paint many subjects, this is my most well-known and loved.
